By Illinois law, no individual may purchase a firearm or ammunition without a valid Firearm
Owner Identification Card.  You may request an FOID form at http://www.isp.state.il.us or by
calling the Firearm Owners Identification Program at (217)782-2980.  You may also have all
documents filled out, pictures taken, and submitted at most gun stores or by visiting a gun
show in Illinois.

Many students come to TACTICAL SHOT without ever firing or owning a firearm.  It is our
responsibility to fit our students with the proper firearm for their needs.  We provide the students with
"loaner" firearms so the student can get acquainted with multiple weapons.  Only after this process can a
student decide which firearm is best suited to them.

Range time is one hour and requirements include the following:

  • A valid state identification card or drivers license.
  • A box of factory ammunition for each weapon they wish to fire.
  • Range fees
  • Hearing protection
  • Safety glasses
  • Targets

TACTICAL SHOT will provide:
  • All "loaner" firearms (if we currently own it)

Range Time
While we love the sport of shooting, we need to charge a nominal fee to keep our accountants happy.  
These fees are based on the individual needs of the student(s) and discounts are available for groups of 3
or more.  

While on the range, the student MUST display a great deal of safety and act in a responsible manner.  At
NO TIME will horseplay or a caviler attitude be tolerated.
